For a while, I *was* the only person during batting practice. I was in the ballpark at noon for a night game, and the gates didn't open until 90 minutes before the first pitch. Heh heh. Rare moments like that help make up for other injustices.

If you want to try to do it on your own, I guess you could start by writing letters directly to Minor League teams. You'd probably need to be at least 16 years old. Maybe 17 or 18. That's probably the best age to start. I'm not an expert, though. This was just a one-time deal for me.

JIMMY-

The Rangers will probably hit more homers in BP, so that's a good trade-off. Like all the AL teams that you guys keep asking me about, I haven't seen the Rangers in a long time. All I can tell you is that Ron Mahay is nice and Kevin Millwood isn't.

KAYLEE-

Cheapness is allowed...especially if you're not old enough to work.

EVERYONE-

I think we're placing too much emphasis on which guys are good ball-throwers. Success for a snagger comes from pursuing the right MOMENT and LOCATION, not a specific guy.

Zack- i agree. its all about how you position yourself and whether or not your ready to recieve. its like a QB/WR duo. You have to be in the right spot on the field away from the defenders (or in this case: other fans) and the QB/player with the ball will hit you for the completion

Meh I'm too lazy to position myself, I've only caught one foul ball during bp and almost got a homer, well thx for the info I guess.

i just got to leave negative feedback on Ebay for the first time in two years. i have a complaint to paypal also. its amazing what they do.

The reason i left neg feedback was:

-it has been 20 days since auctions end.

-i have emailed the seller 5 times and have not been emialed back at all

-the seller has never contacted me

-it was supposed to be shipped via priority mail (2-3 days for delivery)

So, im really intrested to see what happens, if the seller actually finally contacts me or ebay, so its gonna be 20 days untill the case is over. so, ill keep you updated

Glad you agree. Nice comparison to football. I've only used eBay a few times. Never had a problem with it...but man, that's AWFUL. I hate it when people don't respond...especially when they have my money.

If there's no crying in baseball, then there's no laziness in SNAGGING baseballs. Good ball-throwers on the M's include: J.J. Putz, Ichiro, and Carl Everett...or at least he was back in his Marlin days. Coach Ron Hassey is pretty nice, too.
