Three radio interviews

1) If you missed me yesterday on NPR, you can still hear the segment.

2) Tomorrow morning at 7:10, I'm doing a live phone interview with KDKA News Radio 1020 in Pittsburgh. If you're unlucky enough to be awake at that evil hour, go to the site and click the "listen live" button near the upper right.

3) On Saturday, April 21 at 11:30pm ET, I'm going to be a guest on "The Tim Kuda Show," which you can hear at www.timkuda.com. In the meantime, look for other guests on the show (including my friend Brady) and check out Tim's new MLBlog.

hey brady, i listened to your march 30th show on the website...nice interview...and zack... are YOU going to be sharp at 7am? ;0
mike

BRADY-
Excellent.

MIKE-

Ugh.

I can't wait to get back out to Shea on Wednesday! Yay.

You're going on Wednesday? Cool.

If the weather's nice (meaning not wet), I should be there. Are you going to be dressed head-to-toe in fake Phillies gear?

No, probably not. But I do have a real Phillies hat and I'll probably bring a plain red shirt to wear when the Phillies are taking BP. I would only do the full fake uniform with the Marlins, because of their distinctive colors.

I know what you mean about the colors. How about wearing yellow for the Pirates? (Uh-oh, I shouldn't be giving you any ideas.) Or purple for the Rockies?

I think the yellow for the Pirates might be a good idea. Then again, their yellow is soo ugly. And I don't think I have a shirt in that color. Didn't you once bring an ugly yellow shirt to a Pirates game a couple years ago. The Rockies? Purple isn't as distincitve as teal, and I don't think I have a purple shirt either. Plus, I don't really associate the color purple with the Rockies that much. And I have a question to ask to any Pirates coach I have a chance to talk to this year, about those wierd markings on their warm-up balls. I'm going to Mets-Rockies on April 23, so I'll see if there's anyone I can ask at that game.

GREG-
Yeah, I did wear an ugly yellow shirt. Good call. I might be at Shea on the 23rd, too. Watch out...

CHARLIE-

That 7am interview already happened, but don't despair...I'm being interviewed again in a little over an hour. Go to www.937thezone.com and you can listen live. My segment starts at 5:10pm.

Sorry, I meant, the next time I see a Rockies coach. Remember those markings?

Ahh yes, I was wondering about that.

For anyone wondering about the markings we're talking about:

I had a feeling you might say that.

Hey Charlie, maybe you could ask about the markings the next time your at a Rockies game.

Never mind.. I just read the comments above... I'll ask next week.

What time does Gate C open?

Two and a half hours before first pitch. (4:40 for a 7:10 game; 10:40 for a 1:10 game).

I'm planning on being at Shea on wednesday also. I was there today and they made a couple of minor changes. You remember those DreamSeats above the grassy area out near left/right field? No more grassy area, more Dream Seats. And I didn't get down there, but it looks like the flattened out the front of the section, so that balls can actually roll up against it. In addition, the next section of field level seats over has been raised up off the ground to make room for what looks like yet another camera well.

CEETAR-
Whoa. Thanks for letting me know. Can't wait to see these changes in person.

See all you guys at Gate C by 4:40pm?

Definitely, I just hope I won't have to wear thermal underwear..

JOHN-
Yeah, seriously. I'll probably be wearing sweatpants UNDER my cargo pants, as I did at Yankee Stadium on Friday.

EVERYONE-

There are two new book reviews (short little mentions, really), which I'm about to start scanning and uploading. Look for a new entry within a few hours...

zack!
hey whats up man? sorry i havent posted in a while, my computer at home is kinda weird and doesnt allow me write on the wall, so im at school now.

anyway, a good solid first outing, especially at a very tough and crowded yankee stadium. i havent gotten to any games yet, but i do plan on going to a few before the school year is up, and plan on going to alot over the summer. i also found out that i am going to camden and citizens bank later this year. the only bad thing is that the orioles are playing the yankees (at least its a weekday game) and the phillies are playing the mets (saturday, 3:55 start, oy vey)so im gonna eventually email you about some tricks for the two parks. (im going in late june)

talk to you soon

Hey Zack

need a quick run down on good ball tossers/auto signers on the Royals

Thanks

BERGIN-
I am so unbelievably jealous of all you people in Milwaukee right now. You have no idea. I considered flying out there just for this series, but it would be too expensive.

JONELI-

No need to apologize. Very cool that you'll be taking a few trips, but "oy vey" indeed. You should read all my old entries about those two ballparks. That should give you all the tips you could possibly need. No?

JIMMY-
Didn't see your comment 'til after I posted that last one. I don't know the Royals at all. I can only tell you that Reggie Sanders is very nice.
