there are still tickets for all 7 games in the rockies/dbacks series...
thats an insane picture though
looks ver professional
Zack,
Had a dream last night that I was snagging balls so fast at CoMerica Park (5 in the first 10 mins of park entry, just from BP in the Right field bleachers). I was panicked because I did not have time to document who was hitting them. My cargo pockets were full. I remember laughing at the other fans in the seats because they were judging the bounces incorrectly (thinking to myself good thing I read all of Zack's blogs).........How often does this happen to you?
Mike in Detroit
That is the thing about pucks: there is never an offseason. im either snagging balls or pucks. Work on your book during this long offseason. Stick to a project.
...and my sox are still in it :)
puck collector-how many pucks do u have? i have two and i got my second yesterday night at the Ducks Home Opener
hey zack,
i dont care about the postseason at all. really doesnt matter since i follow the mets like a religion and they broke my heart..god that was terrible...
puckcollector-i know this is so random but you went to the islanders game monday aftenoon right? because i was supposed to go but my tix fell through the day before. my younger brother trevor(mentioned in 9/24 at shea in this blog) is a huge rick dipietro fan, the main reason we pursued tix for that game. he wanted the giveaway jersey. i was wondering if you had an extra or was willing to sell it to me for him? just wondering cause theres none on ebay or anything...id dont care either way but i figured id try...let me know
JONELI-
I might fly somewhere for the World Series, but for the NLCS? Nah. Thanks for saying the pic looks professional. I took it last night with my dinky little camera.
MIKE IN DETROIT-
How often do I have dreams about snagging balls? Back in the early/mid 90s, just about every night. Nowadays, at least a couple times a week during the season. How often do I actually catch so many balls that I'm afraid I won't be able label them? A few times per season, I suppose.
PUCK COLLECTOR-
I'd go crazy if I collected stuff year-round. Not sure yet if I'll be working on a book this offseason.
RAMONES-
I think the Sox were the best team in baseball this year—and still are.
GJK2212-
I still care very much about the postseason. It just feels like some fictional event that's taking place far away.
zack,
yeah, well i have no desire to watch any playoff games besides the world series. i have a slim shot of fenway for a world series game. very slim. i dont really wana spend 219743184621 dollars on a ticket, for a mob of bp, and my 1st time at fenway. not worth it. plus its not like its around the corner.
puckcollector-just email me or respond on here btw..
Zack,
that picture is sick...i agree with joneli
if you did go to the world series and paid that much money for a seat, would you snag during the game?
ANOTHER brilliant decision by Mr. Hample...
Tickets for the 3 NLCS games in Colorado have been sold out for awhile, don't lump us with Arizona, lol....Jim
Arizona fans are all dodger fans, or have been. I realized Phoenix is like a suburb of LA....
Who remembers when the Dodgers had to forfeit a game because their fans wouldn't stop throwing the giveaway baseballs onto the field.
Before i get called out on it...
not ALL Dback fans are Dodger fans, but it sure is Blue at CHASE when the Dodgers are in town!
gjk: I do have the "jersry" and its not really a jersey. Also if your brother is more than 7, it probably wont fit him. If you still want it I'm sure we can work it out.
It doesn't fit me, so I have no problem giving it away.
I just saw the pic of you and your bro. It should fit him.
Dodgerdude...
I remember that game!! I'm pretty sure it was against the Cardinals and it was in the 8th inning. Chollos everywhere.
Leigh
Zack...
Nice pic by the way. We don't really have big buildings here in San Diego. Just big, nuclear aircraft carriers. I need to go to a baseball game. Going through withdrawls.
Leigh
Everyone....
How about all the "class" the Diamondbacks fans showed tonight. That was pathetic. You can boo all you want, but don't throw things on the field. I could see that happening in Philadelphia too.
Leigh
Leigh,
Throwing stuff on the field happened at least 2-3 times this season at Wrigley as well. It was much, much worse than last night as the whole outfield was covered in garbage thrown from the bleacher fans.
Great shot! That picture is awesome...
more like 4-5
GJK2212-
I hear ya, not just about the money thing, but about not wanting your first game at a new ballpark to be a World Series game. It'd be much better to get up there for a "normal" game first and check out the place and familiarize yourself with it. Next year is The Year. DO IT.
ESPNEWYORK8-
Thanks, and yes, I would absolutely run all over the stadium and try to snag during the World Series.
CHARLIE-
I'm rooting for the Rockies even more now that the D'Backs fans threw garbage on the field.
JIM-
I lump you not.
DODGERDUDE511-
There are Dodgers fans everywhere, not just in Phoenix, wouldn't you agree?
LEIGH-
I agree. That WAS pathetic, and it surprised me because the fans in Phoenix are usually so laid-back and apathetic. Careful about using the word "chollos." It has a few definitions, and one off them is extremely offensive. I'm not sure which way you meant it...hopefully not the bad way, but I think it'd just be better not to go there from this point on...okay?
HINTHORN-
The whole outfield was covered?*****.
GREEN EYED LADY-
Thanks, yo.
CUBS0110-
That many?!
Zack...
In San Diego chollo=Mexican male, gang ****** type. Shaved head, white t, high white socks, etc. The kind of fans that usually populate the pavilion at Dodger Stadium. It's not an offensive term at all. Everyone uses it out here and knows what it means. I don't even know what definition you're talking about that is extremely offensive? I'd have to look that one up on the computer and find out. Don't get too PC on me.
Leigh
Zack...
Looks like I can't even spell. It's cholo. My bad. Here's the definition...
cho·lo /ˈtʃoʊloʊ/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[choh-loh] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun, plural -los. Chiefly Southwestern U.S. 1. (esp. among Mexican-Americans) a teenage boy who is a member of a street gang.

zack-
I'm just sayin that there are MORE dodger fans in AZ than dback fans.
Kinda like there are apparently MORE Yankees fans in Baltimore than in NY =)
