Times Square on New Year's Eve

Yeah, not quite. Just passing through...underground...two hours before it became 2008. Not surprisingly, almost everyone in sight was from out of town.

In other news, an old internet radio interview I did this past summer is going to be rebroadcast in a few days. Here's the info directly from the guy (Tim Kuda) who interviewed me:

"Just go to www.timkuda.com at 9am on January 2nd or 8pm on the 3rd and click the 'Listen Live' button to hear the show. Times are central. If you go to the site anytime after the 3rd, the show will automatically replay until we do another show sometime in January."

That's it for now.
Happy New Year.

Happy new year too you TOO! :)

Happy New Year Zack and to all others. Here's to a great 2008. The year the Padres win the World Series....maybe.

Leigh

Only 90 days until Nationals' opening day! And only about a month and a half until pitchers and catchers report!! I have great seats in section 222, but unfortunately, my brother (Nick) cannot go because he is still going to be in college. Do teams do batting practice for a day game, if their game the previous day was a day game?

Oh, and happy new year everybody!!!

Happy New Year!

NOW, your talking Zacker...

Excellent photo of the subway and underground. By any chance, did you run into A-Rod who was in town to celebrate New Years at Times Square last night

I would like to wish you all the best in your snagging adventures in 2008!

Yes, Happy New Year! may 2008 bring many more baseballs than '07!

P.S Puckcollecter what did you think about the outdoor hockey game

I think that the game was great! Thy've been talking about a Ranger Islander game at Yankee Satadium for years, and I would love to go to that if they had it. It was true hockey, with hockeys biggest star (Sidney Crosby) and the weather made it cool. It was like football in the snow. The only problem was Mike Milbury who is a *****!!! When the other broadcaster asked him about when he took off a fans shoe and hit him over the head with it, he replied, "He deserved it!" He is a *****. Even if I didn't already hate him, it was still and increadibly stupid thing to say. I just hope hockey can get this mutch attention in the US.

Last day off from school. UGHHH!

The block M-O-R-O-N?

I was glad to see the penguins win becuase sidney crosby's parents were there and i was glad to see him win the shootout but it was a great game all teams should do it at least once

also it would be cool to see blues vs blackhawks at wrigley feild or busch stadium i go back to school next week

i think if the islanders-rangers had an outdoor game it would be at giants stadium. the one the other day was. on sportscenter they said it was the first outdoor game but didnt the oilers have one a couple years ago. someone did. that mightve been a special event for retired players but im not sure

GoIsles, the Pens-Sabres was the first outdoor NHL game in the US. There was a game in Edmonton a few years ago with sub zero temps.

While I'd love to attend an outdoor game, I have no idea how anyone in the stands could see the puck! It's hard enough in an arena and when the seats in a stadium are set so far back......I guess they'd have to have very good HD scoreboard/TVs.

I really hope the NHL has one outdoor game a year. Next year, it should be the Rangers and either the Islanders or Devils at either Shea or Yankee Stadium. We'll see.

Also, I'd love to see a Penguins/Flyers game at my alma mater, Penn State. That stadium holds up to 110,000 people. Can you imagine a game at that stadium???

Opening day is cold enough...but hockey outside? Did that with goislanders4 for years in an outdoor hockey league. No thanks! And Shea won't be there next season. Boo.

KAYLEE-
Thanks!

LEIGH-

Yeah, maybe. :-)

DB3PAR-

Time is flying by. Always. It's scary, but sometimes good, in cases like these. I've hardly attended any day games for the past few seasons, but I from what I hear, I think there probably would be BP on a day game following a day game.

MIKE.LOS-

Nope, sorry, no A-Rod sightings...

CHARLIE-

I've never played fantasy baseball, but congrats on starting your own league. I hope you get lots of people.

DARRON-

Stayed for WHAT whole thing? You're talking about watching the ball drop? I've never seen it in person, and I haven't even bothered to watch it on TV for years. Just not my thing.

PUCK COLLECTOR-

Yeah, the filtering/censoring program is way too strict.

GOISLANDERS4-
