"The Kooz"

The Phillies won the World Series. It's awful. Citizens Bank Park is going to be a zoo next year. I tried to get a ticket for the continuation of Game 5, but the cheapest one I could find was $300, and I decided it wasn't worth it. I ended up using my free time yesterday to build a gigantic pyramid of baseballs with a couple friends. I'll share the pics soon. I just need some time to go through them and pick the best ones. In the meantime, I have another old (but not THAT old) TV interview to share. It was filmed on 5/29/07 at Shea Stadium for a show on SportsNet New York called "Mets Weekly." If you're going to watch it, be warned: it's really really REALLY dorky. The host of the show that week, as you'll see, was a puppet named "The Kooz" (in honor of former Mets pitcher and fan favorite Jerry Koosman). Did I mention it's dorky? Wow. There's one part where you'll see me singing for a couple seconds, and I'd just like to point out that I was asked to do so by the producer. Dorky. But hopefully still fun (in a dorky way). Oh, and one more thing...I included the show's intro in this clip so you'll have to wait 39 seconds (or skip ahead) to see me. Here you go...

Wow, seriously? Thanks so much!

hey Zack, i havent posted in a long time but when i saw the date of this game, i just felt like i had to. it brought back so many memories. i was actually at this game and arrived at BP and stayed till the end convinving my dad that the Mets were gonna win. i believe it went to 13 or 14 innings when Carlos Delgado won the game w/ a homer. it was amazing to see Reyes tie the game ensuing Armando Benitez's (former Met who actually got traded from the Giants 2 days later) 2nd balk of the inning. The atmosphere was amazing especially when B*rry Bonds received thunderous boos from the Shea faithful. When i went to this game, i didnt even know who u were and i had no intentions of collecting baseballs. But i still remember seeing you wearing a SF Giants cap with their roster in ur hands and u were talkin to a friend. Then i saw u speaking Spanish to one of the players and u got a baseball from him. Ever since i became interested in collecting baseballs. thnx for the inspiration.
Go Mets '09 !!!
