Latest media news...

Three things...

1) Watch With Zack got a plug today from the Wall Street Journal, and you can read it here.

2) I was interviewed yesterday by a guy at ESPN the Magazine for a story on fan interference. I have no idea when it's coming out, so be on the lookout, and if I hear anything, I'll let you know.

3) The folks at BetterBaking.com (Ha!) just reviewed Watching Baseball Smarter. Here's what they had to say.

In other news, I plan to post another blog entry tomorrow with a brand new YouTube video. It has nothing to do with baseball. I just filmed it a couple hours ago inside my apartment. Nothing crazy. Just something a little different and hopefully interesting...so get ready for that.

crazy weak. 12 player, 3 team deal. putz to mets, heilman to seatlle. Royals sign farnsworth and ramirez. Peavy not going to Cubs. Sabathia to Yankees. K-rod to mets. Nats try to get Texieria for $160 million for 8 years. O yeah first comment.

yeah but he doesnt even really want to be in NY. i think he'll opt out after 3. his era is like 8 in YS and as soon as he has a bad start the media and the fans (yes including me) will tear him to shreads. also his playoff era is really high

but hey the mets now look like real conteneders w/ putz to set up k-rod

Zack,

I was wondering if you could put up a link on the side or in a comment that goes to every watch with zack game you've done thus far. I enjoy reading these most and I think it might help promote your program a bit more. Just a thought.

Thanks

Puck- C.C.'s awesome, and he hasnt even pitched for them yet, so why would u think he'd opt out. cmon, be positive bring the new ys a 2009 world series. cant wait to see the video zack. Joe

i saw the video! its good too. i dont think anyone will guess what its about unless they see it (and its really easy to find).

Joe
i dont think a 09 yankees world championship sounds just right. they have a big name pitcher now, but they still have things to fix. they are basically like the mets were last offseason. 09 mets champions sounds a little bit better.

i dont think the ws sounds right either. and i think hell opt out cuz he doesnt really want to be here. he wants to be on the west coast, he wants to hit, and he doesnt want the media pressure. also a ccording to buster olney, all the other offers were no where near the yanks, but he was still considereing them. also to me the health is a huge problem. the indians, who saw him everyday thought he would only last 4 years/ its like pedro, the bo sox offered him 2 years, then one more only cuz of what he did for the red sox, and sure enough he got hurt after 2 years. basically the team that the guy had stayed with for a long amount of time knows how long the guy will probably hold up.

ALCO24-
Crazy indeed.

Thanks!

PUCK COLLECTOR-
The Mets ARE choke artists. Mets fans have no right to be pissed about Hamels saying that.

GOBUCCOS25-
That's a really cool idea. I'm not sure how to create extra links in the sidebar, though. Do you know how to do it?

YANKEES5221-
It's already up. I put it on YouTube last night. Clif (aka goislanders4) already found it. I'll be posting a new entry with it this afternoon.

CLIF-
Have you subscribed to my "channel" (or whatever) on YouTube? Is that how you found it so fast?

Hey Zack!

I'm currently reading "Watching Baseball Smarter"...an awesome book. I've been looking everywhere for your "How to Snag Major League Baseballs" book and I can't find it ANYWHERE. Amazon has a few used ones (for over $50) but I'm looking for a brand new one. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Angela

Angela-

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying my new book...but as for the first one, you just have to keep looking. Unfortunately it's been out of print for a while so copies (as you're discovering) are hard to find. They ARE out there, tough, and sometimes they turn up much cheaper than what you're seeing right now.
