Check this out...it's a photo that I found in an old book at my family's store. It was taken by Ray Gora and ran in the Chicago Tribune on October 3, 1959:
Very cool pic, Zack. It's funny to see how conservatively people dressed for a baseball game back in the day. And there are so few women! I can only spot six. Let's play "Where's Waldo." How many women can YOU spot? : )
If it weren't for the lack of Ivy and the fact that the fans are not obviously wasted, I'd swear that was Wrigley Field bleacher bum behavior.
Oh, and I can see 8 definite women, and about 3 "maybes".
Hahahaha that's amazing. Shows you how much those Chicago Flubs fans hate the White Sox.
And that wasn't even light beer. Hopefully for the guy below, it was at least a little cold and refreshed him after looking up after that homer.
It is funny sometimes what you can find if you Google a certain baseball phrase or moment. And if you go to Youtube, it can be worth an entire afternoon sometimes checking out the wild videos.
Great find, awesome that you have that kind of collectible in your family's possession.

EVERYONE-
Glad you like the pic. Apparently it's a really famous image, but I'd never seen it 'til recently. Happy New Year.

That's Al Smith of the White Sox watching a homerun by the Dodgers’ Charlie Neal. Here's a different angle:

Coolness.
REDSOXGIRL46-
Thanks! And even though it's a bit late...you too.
RAYSRENEGADE-
Much appreciated. And you're right about YouTube. I have gotten lost in that site for hours, and not just with baseball stuff.
